I attended Rhodes College, where I graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. While studying at college, I worked as a teacher's assistant at the chemistry lab. During this time, I assisted and tutored students who needed help studying organic chemistry.After completing my degree, I relocated to china and began working as a student consultant. My responsibilities included advising students, helping with university applications, and improving students' essay writing skills. In addition, I tutored English language classes for students who were planning on taking IELTS or TOEFL, the two major English assessment tests.In addition to teaching functional and academic English, I incorporated elements from other subjects, such as history, current events, and science, in my classroom. By doing this, I was able to create engaging discussions while helping my students better their writing and speaking skills.I especially love to teach writing. Writing exercises allow students to share information about themselves, which gives me a deeper insight into their personality, interests, and academic goals. I also am keen on teaching mathematics and sciences.When I am outside of the classroom, I like to spend my free time painting and cooking. I especially like to bake. My other hobbies include practicing yoga and going horseback riding.
