Education

I have a master's degree in counseling with a 3.6 GPA from Regents University in Virginia. In addition I earned a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. Excelling at every level of my education has prepared me to assist other students with confidence in their pursuits.

Experience

I have been employed as a counselor and as a social worker for many years. Additionally, I have taught school, seventh through twelfth grade students. To improve their mental skills, I coached tennis students on applying techniques for visualization and boosting thinking skills. I enjoy helping students to improve their academic performance while learning how to study more efficiently. Tailoring tutoring to the individual's learning style and type of motivation is critical to encourage each student to benefit from greater achievement.

Hobbies

While playing tennis for many years, including high school and some college tennis, I have also taught tennis lessons professionally. Other recreational activities include playing golf, and watching sports. I follow college football, especially the SEC. Seeing the Titans win is an enjoyable experience. I also enjoy watching elementary school soccer and appreciate that sports can be a good motivator.
